An escape from the bustling urban life, this retreat transports its users to a cosy dwelling rooted to the soil and engulfed by lush green acreage, providing an experience for all the senses. The client intended to put up this structure in a short span of time. Hence, the structure was made in steel with bamboo matt panels for the walls. Aluminium windows were slotted on the MS frames and the Overhang covers the deck and shields the bamboo mat walls. The earthly tones of these cottages produced by the use of vernacular materials make the structure almost seamlessly merge with the surrounding biosphere. The captivating views of the natural surroundings have been retained as well as intertwined into the interiors to the maximum extent. The addition of rustic artifacts in pivots where nature and the built meet envelopes the whole structure together. The warm and raw textures of this abode instantly draw any viewer and create an experiential sphere, dissociating them from the rest of the world.
